On Thursday, day 09, the Brazilian musician Ed Motta caused general revolt in the network because vented on your Facebook profile to comment on the tour that will perform in Europe, from April, a series of 16 shows.

He said, quite harshly, that would not include the music tour in Portuguese and do not communicate with me Portuguese public. Ranted against people he considers as "simplistic" and not actually know their job. He noted that the series of shows would be for a public more "cult", talking in English and, to him and to the organizers, not interested popular music fans (backcountry type, ax or pagoda), which goes to the presentations shirts football team, drinking cheap beer and asking all the time for him to speak in Portuguese.
Ed Motta also recommends:

Just loved all this controversy caused by Ed Motta, even if it was a momentary outbreak (both he apologized later). He said I wanted to say at the time, sent his message, was revealed.
I have read many articles about it and all quoted his uncle Tim Maia, as a symbol of humility and great musician. Disagree.
Tim Maia was also egocentric, acted according to the navel, and its excesses was linked to their inability to meet and satisfy your own self. Ed Motta is no different, in fact, we are all equal in this regard.

In fact, we all want the audience and "our audience."
Intellectuals do not want to discuss the Dialectic of Enlightenment with his brother who only knows how to talk about football; artists do not want to interpret Beckett in theaters for people who see in novels as much of high culture; housewives, do not prepare Ratatouille to be devoured without the slightest taste, like greasy chicken drumstick; the left of the staff, dreams of a society they same design as the ideal for people who speak the same language as them; conservatives of our elite, do not want a better Brazil for everyone, but only so they can maintain comfort of their lives.
Man is by nature dark and evil is not to release this dark side, but hides it through social masks that we maintain. These are the people we should fear every day, for not revealing what they really mean or be, but involuntarily corroborate other atrocities happen.
These social shades work very well to keep structures of institutions such as the family, for example, where the set of representations is needed to maintain solid traditions and constraints of society. The truth of each is the general, hidden. Reveals in the dark of individual acts, as in the stories of Nelson Rodrigues. Betrayals, desires, outbursts, dislikes, hate, fear, unhappiness non-compliance. All this must is hidden in our core, without anyone knowing. And when it is revealed, is scandal in the right.

Ed Motta "dropped the cock" and revealed a side that is it, is it even that coexists with other sides, more humble, kind and popular. And we all are to some extent as well, we have our wills of glamor, to live our universe, to be different from the "other" by not mix. Only, do not confess.
Let's forgive the boy, let him realize his dream of playing for an educated audience, then without hurts and resentments welcome you with open arms. Maybe he does not kill our will and intones: "Manueeel, gone to heaven !!! Manueeeeeeel, gone to heaven ..."
